Sunshine at first before cloud and rain return: Alicante weekend weather forecast April 9-12
A warm and settled start, before things turn cooler and more unsettled by the weekend

Alicante is set for a bright and warm start over the next few days, but don’t get too used to it, as cloud, rain and a noticeable drop in temperatures arrive by the weekend. According to Spain's State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), things will start to shift as we head into Saturday, with more cloud building and rain likely on Saturday and Sunday.
Thursday April 9
Thursday will be a typical spring day, with what Aemet describes as 'mostly clear skies with some high cloud' across the province. Temperatures will rise slightly, making it feel warm in the afternoon sun. Winds will be light and variable inland, while along the coast, a northeasterly breeze will be more noticeable at times, especially later in the day.
Friday April 10
Friday will also be pretty settled, with 'mostly clear or clear skies,' according to Aemet. However, they also warn of 'probable suspended dust' moving in during the second half of the day, which could leave skies looking a bit hazy, particularly towards the evening. Temperatures will edge up again, while winds remain moderate from the northeast along the coast and lighter inland, turning easterly through the afternoon.
Saturday April 11
By Saturday, the weather will start to turn. Aemet forecasts 'intervals of cloud increasing to cloudy skies by the afternoon,' with a chance of light rainfall towards the end of the day. Temperatures will begin to fall, particularly the daytime highs, so that it may feel noticeably cooler compared to Friday. There’s also a continued chance of suspended dust, which could make for murkier skies at times. Winds stay fairly light overall but will become more variable.
Sunday April 12
By Sunday, you'll really notice the difference in the weather. Aemet predicts 'very cloudy skies with rainfall,' which could be more widespread across the province. Temperatures will drop further, with what they describe as a 'notable fall in daytime values,' making it feel quite different from the start of the week. Winds turn northwesterly, generally moderate, with some stronger gusts possible, especially in more exposed areas.
It will be a bit of a mixed few days overall. Make the most of the good weather on Thursday and Friday before the weather turns on Saturday. And as there is also a chance of suspended dust in the air on Friday and Saturday, take precautions, especially if you’re sensitive or have respiratory issues. Keep the windows closed, wear a mask when you are outside, and don’t do any strenuous exercise outdoors.

Minimum and maximum temperatures in Alicante:
- Thursday April 9: Min 11ºC, Max 26ºC
- Friday April 10: Min 14ºC, Max 28ºC
- Saturday April 11: Min 12ºC, Max 25ºC
- Sunday April 12: Min 6ºC, Max 19ºC
