Sunshine and rising temperatures this week: Alicante weather April 6-9
Mostly dry and settled across Alicante this week with lots of sunshine, light winds and mild temperatures

After a warm and sunny Semana Santa the good weather looks set to continue. It’s a fairly stable outlook across the province this week, with plenty of dry weather and just some cloud at times. According to Spain’s State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), there’s nothing too dramatic on the way, just typical spring conditions as the temperatures continue to rise.
Monday April 6
The week begins with “mostly clear skies”, though Aemet notes that some mist or low cloud could develop along the coast later in the day. Temperatures will see little change, staying mild for the time of year. Winds will be light and variable, becoming easterly later on in the day.
Tuesday April 7
On Tuesday, cloud will move across the province, but there will be plenty of sun and it will feel even warmer as temperatures rise. Winds stay light overall, turning easterly from around midday, with moderate northeasterly winds along the coast.
Wednesday April 8
Wednesday follows a similar pattern, with some cloud to start before skies become clearer through the afternoon, leaving “mostly clear conditions with some high cloud”. Night-time temperatures will increase slightly, while daytime highs will edge up again in the north and remain steady elsewhere. Winds will be light, with an easterly breeze developing during the day and some moderate winds along the coast.
Thursday April 9
Thursday will continue in the same way with lots of sunshine, clear skies and mild temperatures. Winds will remain light and variable throughout the day.
The weather looks set to continue the great weather enjoyed during Semana Santa. With Easter Monday a bank holiday across much of the province and children still off school, it’s perfect for making the most of the Easter break.

Minimum and maximum temperatures in Alicante this week:
- Monday April 6: Min 9ºC, Max 23ºC
- Tuesday April 7: Min 10ºC, Max 25ºC
- Wednesday April 8: Min 9ºC, Max 24ºC
- Thursday April 9: Min 12ºC, Max 26ºC
