International crews compete at the nautical and water sports centre in Lo Pagán

October 18 and 19 The Jan Collins memorial dragon boat festival in San Pedro del Pinatar The 10^th Intercontinental Dragon Boat event takes place at the Centro de Actividades Náuticas in Calle Magallanes in Lo Pagán (San Pedro del Pinatar) over the weekend of 18th and 19th October, with the races dedicated to the memory of Jan Collins, founder of the CBS category which is devoted to breast cancer survivors.

The event is being held by the Asociación Deportiva Pinatarense and racing in the DB12 and DN22 categories will take place over a sprint distance of just 200 metres.

Even if you're not taking part, spectacular racing is guaranteed!

Curry's Nepali and Indian Restaurant Los Alcázares

Curry’s is an Indian restaurant in Murcia’s Los Alcázares that serves up authentic, homemade food from Nepal and India.

Formerly known as the Restaurante Tataki, Curry’s Restaurant is a fully refurbished and improved version of the popular restaurant that came before it.

Located on Avenida Cartagena, 21 in Los Narejos, Curry’s is open for lunch from 2pm every day of the week, with a buffet every Sunday lunchtime with vegetarian and vegan options for just 12.95 euros, and they are open for dinner every day of the week too.

The Curry’s buffet offers a wide range of Asian cuisine and includes poppadoms with a selection of delicious accompaniments, all of your favourite starters, many popular curries, rice, naan breads, and even comes with a dessert.

The restaurant achieved Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice 2024 status for their excellent quality of service and wide range of dishes to suit all dietary needs.

Lots of their dishes are firm favourites among their many repeat customers, including chef’s specials like the Chicken Tikka Laziz, Methi Chicken and the Mustang Lamb.

They also have a ‘Menú del Día’ set menu with a choice of starters, main courses and desserts – including vegetarian options – served Monday to Saturday from just 12.95 euros.

They can also do food to takeaway and give free delivery on orders of at least 40 euros up to 5km away.
