Until January 11 Christmas, New Year and Three Kings in Águilas 2025-26
Loads of children’s entertainment, festive music, concerts for the grown-ups and seasonal cheer as Águilas welcomes in 2026!
As usual there is a full program of events going on in Águilas over the festive season, with plenty of entertainment at the Auditorio Infanta Doña Elena and other venues, music in the streets, activities for children and the all-important arrival of Father Christmas (on December 23) and the Three Kings, whose major parade takes place on the evening of 5th January.
This year the festive programme includes the following events:
Monday December 8
Fiestas of La Purísima in the village of El Garrobillo
12.30: Holy Mass with music from the local “cuadrilla”.
13.00: Procession of the figure of the Virgin to the Cabezo de la Cruz, where songs are sung in her honour.
16.00: Auction dance.
17.00: Locally grown tomato competition!
Friday December 12
20.00: Swing en Navidad, the Swing Machine Orchestra at the Auditorio Infanta Doña Elena. Tickets are priced at 15 euros and are available online here as well as in person at the Casa de la Cultura, the Museo Arqueológico and on the evening of the show at the box office.
Saturday December 13
12.00: Local choirs perform in the Plaza de España.
Sunday December 14
9.00 to 20.00: Christmas market in the Plaza de España.
9.30: Free Cuatro Calas guided walking tour. Further information can be found here, bookings: through the Murcia tourist board here or through the tourist office.
10.00: Parade of traditional “cuadrilla” musical groups in the streets, starting at the church of San José and followed at 12.00 by a musical Mass. At 13.30 the groups perform at the Christmas market.
18.00: More Christmas music with the Coro Rociero of the Hermandad de Nuestra Señora del Rocío at the Christmas market.
20.00: El Flautista y los Ratoncitos, children’s theatre at the Casa de la Cultura Francisco Rabal. Tickets 5 euros available online here.

Fiestas in the village of Cuesta de Gos, starting at 12.00 midday with mass and a procession. At 16.00 the dancing and singing starts and the afternoon’s entertainment includes raffles, auctions and a bar/café service.
Friday December 26
The opening of the annual exhibition by the José Matrán photography society at the Casa de la Cultura Francisco Rabal, opening hours 18.00 to 21.00. The exhibition runs until January 28.

19.00: Rodolfo y el Elfo Golfo, a Christmas concert by the Patronato Musical Aguileño at the Auditorio Infanta Doña Elena, admission free of charge.
19.30: Charity concert in the Plaza de España to raise money for Christmas presents for children in need.
Sunday December 28
12.00: Caperucita Roja, a children’s performance of Little Red Riding Hood in Spanish at the Auditorio Infanta Doña Elena. Tickets are priced at 5 euros and are available online here or in person at the Casa de la Cultura, the Museo Arqueológico and on the evening of the show at the box office.
17.30: The Fiesta de los Inocentes, a kind of equivalent of April Fool’s Day in the village of El Garrobillo, with plenty of horseplay and jollity!

11.30: New Year comes early for the children of Águilas with this special celebration where the chimes of midnight are replaced by those of midday in the Plaza de España.

17.00 to 21.00: Children’s play area in Plaza de la Región de Murcia.
Saturday January 3
11.00: Free guided tour of the historic town centre of Águilas starting at the tourist office and lasting approximately 2 hours. Bookings for this tour throughout the year should be made online through the regional tourist board or through the tourist office - see here for the January event.
19.00: Elisa y La Noche sin Estrellas in the Plaza de España.
19.00: Their Royal Highnesses the Three Kings are officially welcomed in Plaza Montcada i Reixach.
Sunday January 4
12.00 to 14.00 and 17.00 to 19.00: The Three Kings set up camp in Calle Conde de Aranda.
17.30: A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens at the Casa de la Cultura Francisco Rabal. Tickets 5 euros from the Casa de la Cultura and the Museo Arqueológico.
Monday January 5
19.00: The grand Three Kings parade, one of the most spectacular of the year in Águilas and thousands line the route from Avenida Juan Calos I to the Plaza de España, where a prize draw for 3 bicycles is held for those whose gift requests have been deposited in the Royal Postbox at the Town Hall.
Tuesday January 6
20.00: The New Year and Three Kings concert at the Auditorio Infanta Doña Elena featuring the Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra. Tickets are available at 10 euros online here as well as from the Casa de la Cultura and the Museo Arqueológico.
Friday January 9
20.30: Swan Lake ballet at the Auditorio Infanta Doña Elena, performed by the Kiev Ballet. Tickets are available from 34 euros online here: click for further details.
Sunday January 11
10.00: The annual Three Kings bike ride begins from the Casica Verde and runs to the beach of Calarreona and back. Duration approximately 2 and a half hours.

Oficina de Turismo de Águilas
Águilas boasts 28 kilometres of coastline, with many fine, sandy beaches, sheltered coves and unspoilt natural beaches. It is a great summer favourite with Spanish holidaymakers, so always has a superb programme of concerts and activities throughout the summer, as well as the biggest carnival in the Region of Murcia, 40 days before Semana Santa (Easter.)
Throughout the year it also has a number of museums and historical attractions, a castle with fabulous views overlooking the bay and several other points of interest, all of which make it an good place to visit for days out. Throughout the year the tourist office runs monthly guided tours and the route of the railways, which explores the railway history of the town.
The tourist information office is located in the Plaza de Antonio Cortijos, just a short walk from the sea front and Plaza de España, a cool, shaded space in which to enjoy a coffee.
