Sunny and calm up until the weekend: Murcia weekly weather forecast February 17-23

Murcia is forecast to get mild, mainly sunny weather this week, but that could turn later in the week

The weather forecast for this week in the Region of Murcia has been updated to reflect the fact that, instead of rain sweeping in on Wednesday, it will be a fine and sunny – if sometimes cloudy – week, with the forecast of rain being pushed back to next weekend.

As such, the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has said that Monday February 17 brings “low cloudy or clear skies, becoming cloudy with high clouds at the end of the day,” along with “morning mist around the Mar Menor”.

For Tuesday 18, however, they forecast “very cloudy skies, with low clouds and morning mist” and even some fog. Even so, minimum temperatures will be rising slightly, while the maximums fall a little. Aemet also forecasts “light easterly winds, with moderate intervals on the coast during the second half of the day,” up to 20-25kmh.

On Wednesday 19, the heavy clouds will part, making way for higher, more scattered cloud cover, and perhaps just a 15-20% chance of rain in the south and west of the Region in the afternoon.

Thursday 20 and Friday 21 will be mainly sunny, but with some cloud cover coming and going just like earlier in the week, while temperatures remain fairly stable with highs of around 22-24ºC during the day and lows of 5-7ºC at night in the north and 10-12ºC in the south.

Then, on Saturday 22 is when the rain is forecast to fall almost all day across the entire Region, but mostly in the morning, and it will not be accompanied by excessively strong winds. In addition, daytime temperatures will drop by three or four degrees, even as minimums rise ever so slightly.

While the heaviest of the rain will have passed by Sunday 23, Aemet still forecasts showery weather throughout the day across the Region of Murcia.
