La Torre Golf Resort Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.

June 6 to 8 Free concerts at the 2025 Cartagena Folk Festival
A weekend showcasing the latest sounds in modern and traditional Spanish folk music
Year after year the annual free folk music festival in Cartagena grows in size and popularity, and for the 2025 edition, which takes place between 6th and 8th June, a mount-watering array of live performances has been lined up:
Friday June 6
20.45: Celtícue, Cartagena’s very own bagpipe and percussion traditional Celtic music group.
21.15: El Nido from Burgos
22.30: Delameseta, irban folk from Valladolid, blending electronic music with traditional sounds.
Saturday June 7
12.30: Kabayla Singary
13.00: Albardín
20.45: Kabayla Singary
21.15: Luar Nu Lubre, one of Spain’s most popular and long-lasting folk groups.
22.30: Castora Herz, Iberian electro-folk.
Sunday June 8
12.30: Darash, a fusion of Mediterranean and Sephardic Jewish musical traditions.
The festival is held in the Parque de la Rambla on the western side of the city, close to the Cartagonova football stadium and the former Eroski supermarket, and admission is free of charge.
Other attractions include workshops in traditional dance, esparto grass weaving and puppeteering, for which registration can be found online here, as well as food trucks and, on the Saturday, children’s activities beginning at 18.00.
