Visit the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean as well as the dunes and salt flats of San Pedro by the light of the full moon
Taking advantage of the August full moon, the tourist office of San Pedro del Pinatar is holding this guided moonlight walk along the coast on Saturday 9th August, beginning at 20.00 and lasting approximately 3 hours.
The 9-kilometre route begins at the windmill known as the Molino de Quintín, at the northern tip of the Mar Menor alongside the beach of Villananitos, and continues to the shore of the Mar Menor and then the salt flats before reaching the Mediterranean coastline at the beach of Punta de Algas. A magical moonlight experience enriched by the fascinating natural environment and the modifications it has undergone at the hands of Mankind over the centuries.
The event is free of charge but prior booking is required online here, and those taking part are advised to make sure they wear comfortable walking footwear and bring binoculars, mosquito repellent and plenty of drinking water.
